Panasonic AG-DVX200

Show: NAB 2015
Release Date – Autumn 2015
Estimate Price – Under US$5000
A little surprise at the show has been the Panasonic AG-DVX200 (Panasonic 200 for short). Still in prototype phase, this is a 4K camera with a fixed 13x zoom lens (f/2.8-4.5, 280365mm 35mm equivalent) onto a micro4/3” sensor. Reminiscent of a Canon XF305, could this be the self-shooting large sensor 4K camera we’ve been waiting for?
Anyone familiar with an XF305, PMW200 or even EX1 or Z1 would be completely at home shooting with this camera, but could potentially get some great looking cinematic, shallow depth of field imagines in an easy to use compact handheld camcorder with a “run and gun”-friendly zoom range. Recording to 4K/HD to SD cards using the V-Log L gamma curve, Panasonic hopes to hit 12 stops dynamic range with this offering. Other intended features are 120fps in HD as well as being 50/60Hz switchable. Definitely one to watch and especially keep an eye out for what the competition respond with!
Key features:
